How do you redesign a hotel website without stopping bookings?
Puro Surf is a boutique hotel with a professional surf academy and a restaurant, Covana Kitchen, right on the El Zonte wave, 45 minutes from the international airport. Its Webflow site is in English and welcomes guests from all over the world.
Rebuilding everything at once meant months with a half-finished site. So the redesign goes page by page: each new page lives next to the ones that still have the previous design, under the same navigation, until the whole site is done.

What we did
What should a surf hotel's retreats page include?
We started with retreats: nine years of retreats the site never told.
Two paths from the top: join a retreat that is already on the calendar, or bring your own group.
Retreat calendar: the upcoming ones with dates, host and focus, and the ones already held this year, so it shows the place is busy all year round.
What is included: beachfront accommodation with 15 rooms and 42 beds, meals at Covana Kitchen, an infinity pool, academy sessions and training spaces, in a list you can read in seconds.
Who it is for: you do not need to surf; the page speaks to beginners, experienced surfers, wellness groups and corporate teams.
Large photography of the place and a card for each retreat, with a type scale and rhythm that will carry over to the rest of the site.

The result
purosurf.com redesign: before and after
Above you can compare Puro Surf's previous home page with the new Retreats page, on desktop and on mobile. The rest of the pages move to the new design one by one, while we keep running the site's SEO and content.
